Best AI logo makers and brand kit tools in 2026

Introduction

Most SaaS founders hit the logo problem at a bad moment. The product works, a few customers are paying, and the marketing site needs to go live in three weeks. Someone opens a logo maker, picks something that looks fine, downloads a PNG, and hands it to the web team. Six months later the team discovers there is no vector file, no dark-mode version, no favicon, and no record of which hex codes or fonts were used.

AI logo makers have improved a lot since that first wave of template tools. In 2026 the useful ones generate a mark, a color palette, and a font pairing, then export clean SVG files and a short brand guide. Some, like Recraft, generate real vector artwork from a prompt. Others, like Looka and Brandmark, wrap a logo in a brand kit with social assets, business cards, and guidelines.

The market has also shifted. Shopify retired Hatchful as a standalone product in 2025 and folded it into the Shopify Logo Maker, which exports PNG only. Tailor Brands now leads with LLC formation, with logos bundled into business plans. Several tools that used to sell one-time logo packages, such as LogoAI, have moved to monthly subscriptions.

We build marketing sites for B2B SaaS companies at StaticMania, usually on Next.js, Astro, or Hugo with a headless CMS. We see the files that come out of these tools at the start of almost every project, and we know which ones save time during a build and which ones cause rework. This list ranks the 10 AI logo makers and brand kit tools we would consider for a SaaS startup in 2026, judged on what a web team actually needs: vector files, a usable palette and type system, clear commercial rights, and a fair price.

1. Looka: best all-round AI logo maker for SaaS founders

Best for: Founders who want a logo, vector files, and a ready set of brand assets in one afternoon, without a recurring bill for the logo itself.

Looka, which started life as Logojoy, asks for your company name, industry, preferred styles, colors, and symbols, then generates dozens of logo concepts. You pick one and edit the layout, icon, font, and colors in a browser editor. The output tends to be clean and conventional, which suits B2B SaaS better than it suits consumer brands that need to stand out on a shelf.

How it works in practice

For a SaaS team, the brand kit Looka builds around the logo is worth more than the logo editor. Looka's Brand Kit generates brand guidelines, social profile images for LinkedIn and X, business cards, email signatures, and letterheads from the same logo, palette, and fonts. If you change the logo, the kit regenerates. For a startup that has no designer, the brand guidelines document gives the web team the hex codes and font names it needs to set up design tokens in Tailwind or a CSS variables file.

The Premium package gives you PNG, SVG, EPS, and PDF files in four variations: full color, color on transparent, white on transparent, and black on transparent. The white version matters more than most founders expect, because SaaS sites often use a dark footer or a dark hero section.

Main features

  • AI logo generation from name, industry, style, color, and symbol inputs
  • Browser editor for layout, icon, font, and color changes, including after purchase
  • SVG, EPS, PDF, and PNG files with white, black, and transparent variations
  • Brand Kit with 300+ branded templates, guidelines, and social assets
  • Optional website builder on the Brand Kit Web plan

Pricing

Looka's Basic package costs $20 one-time and gives you a single 1000 x 1000 px PNG with a colored background, which is not enough for a website. The Premium package costs $65 one-time and includes vector files, transparent versions, and unlimited post-purchase edits. The Brand Kit subscription costs $96 a year and adds the 300+ templates and guidelines. Brand Kit Web costs $129 a year and adds a hosted website. You keep the rights to your logo if you cancel a subscription.

Pros and cons

ProsCons
  • Clean output that suits B2B SaaS
  • Vector files and white versions on a one-time purchase
  • Brand guidelines with colors and fonts
  • Edits allowed after purchase
  • Brand guidelines and templates need the yearly subscription
  • Looka's copyright covers the logo as a whole, not individual symbols
  • Icon library is shared, so marks are not exclusive
  • Basic package is too limited for web use

2. Brandmark: best one-time purchase

Best for: Bootstrapped founders who want vector files and a brand guide for a single payment, with no subscription to cancel later.

Brandmark is an AI logo maker that combines hand-made fonts and templates with generative AI for icons. You enter a name and a few keywords, choose a style direction, and Brandmark produces a set of logo concepts that you can edit in the browser. Its output often looks more modern and tech-leaning than other template-based makers, which helps for developer tools and infrastructure products.

How it works in practice

Brandmark has the simplest pricing in this list: every tier is a one-time payment, and every tier includes vector files. The Designer package adds source files, brand guidelines, and a set of ready designs: one-page websites, business cards, social media graphics, and presentation templates. The presentation templates are a nice extra for founders who are about to pitch investors with the new brand.

The Enterprise tier adds up to 10 hand-crafted concepts and a font download. If your logo uses one of Brandmark's exclusive fonts, you need that font file for your website headings, so check which font your chosen logo uses before you buy a lower tier.

Main features

  • AI logo generation with generative icons and exclusive fonts
  • SVG, PNG, and PDF export on every tier
  • Brand guidelines, social designs, and presentation templates on Designer
  • Unlimited revisions after purchase on Designer and Enterprise
  • Hand-crafted concepts and font download on Enterprise

Pricing

Basic costs $35 one-time and includes PNG and vector logo files. Designer costs $95 one-time and adds source files, unlimited revisions, brand guidelines, one-page websites, business cards, social media designs, and presentation designs. Enterprise costs $195 one-time and adds up to 10 original hand-crafted concepts and the font download. There are no monthly charges.

Pros and cons

ProsCons
  • One-time pricing on every tier
  • Vector files from the $35 tier
  • Modern style suits tech products
  • Presentation templates on Designer
  • Font download only on the $195 tier
  • Fewer brand kit templates than Looka
  • Style range is narrower than Recraft
  • Brand guidelines need the $95 tier

3. Recraft: best for original AI vector marks

Best for: Founders and designers who want a more original symbol than a template library can give, delivered as a real SVG.

Recraft is an AI image generator with dedicated vector models. Instead of assembling a logo from a shared icon library, it generates the mark from your prompt and outputs it as an SVG with editable paths. You can then adjust anchor points, colors, and shapes in Recraft's vector editor or open the file in Figma or Illustrator. That makes it the most flexible tool here for teams that have a designer, or a founder with some design sense, who wants control.

How it works in practice

You describe the mark you want, choose a vector model, and generate variations. Recraft's V4.1 Vector model costs 4 credits per image and V4.1 Pro Vector costs 12 credits. Custom styles let you upload reference images and generate a consistent set of icons and illustrations in the same style, which is useful once the logo is done and the website needs feature icons that match it.

Recraft does not set your wordmark for you the way Looka or Brandmark do. Most teams generate the symbol in Recraft and pair it with a typeface in Figma, so plan for that step or for an hour of a designer's time.

Main features

  • Native SVG generation with editable paths
  • Vector editor for paths, colors, and shapes
  • Custom styles from reference images for matching icon sets
  • Mockup generation and background removal
  • Teams plan with shared styles and SSO

Pricing

Recraft has a Free plan with daily credits, but images made on Free cannot be used commercially. Basic costs $12 a month, or $10 a month billed yearly ($120), with 1,000 credits. Pro starts at $20 a month, or $16 a month billed yearly, with 2,000 credits, and goes up to 16,000 credits at $160 a month. Teams starts at $22 a month per seat. All paid plans include private generations and commercial rights for images made while you are subscribed, and those rights remain after you cancel.

Pros and cons

ProsCons
  • Real vector output from a prompt
  • Original marks, not a shared icon library
  • Custom styles for matching website icons
  • Commercial rights on all paid plans
  • No wordmark or brand guide generation
  • Free plan output is non-commercial
  • Needs some design judgment to get a clean result
  • Credit costs vary by model

4. Canva: best for on-brand marketing assets after the logo

Best for: Marketing teams that already use Canva for social posts, slides, and ads, and want the logo and brand kit in the same place.

Canva is a general design platform with an AI logo generator built into its editor. You can generate a logo from a prompt or start from a template, then edit it like any other Canva design. Canva's logo output is decent but tends toward template-style marks, so we would not pick it for the logo itself. We rank it fourth for what it does once the logo exists.

How it works in practice

Canva's Brand Kit stores your logos, colors, fonts, brand voice, photos, and icons. Once it is set up, Canva AI and Brand Templates use it to produce on-brand LinkedIn posts, launch announcements, webinar slides, and ad creatives. A SaaS marketing team that publishes every week can keep those assets consistent without a designer reviewing each one.

A common pattern is to create the logo in Looka, Brandmark, or Recraft, upload the SVG files to a Canva Brand Kit, and let the marketing team work from there.

Main features

  • AI logo generator inside the Canva editor
  • Brand Kit with logos, colors, fonts, voice, photos, and icons
  • Brand Templates and brand controls for teams
  • SVG and transparent PNG export on Pro
  • Canva AI design generation using your Brand Kit

Pricing

Canva Free lets you generate and download a logo as PNG, JPG, or PDF with a solid background, and includes 1 Brand Kit. Transparent backgrounds and SVG export need Canva Pro, which costs US$144 a year for one person and includes 5 Brand Kits. Business and Enterprise plans add more Brand Kits, approvals, and org-wide controls.

Pros and cons

ProsCons
  • Brand Kit feeds every design the team makes
  • Large template library for marketing assets
  • Most marketers already know the editor
  • Good value if you already pay for Pro
  • Logo output can look generic
  • SVG and transparent export need Pro
  • AI may misspell or warp the company name
  • Not a dedicated logo tool

5. LOGO.com: best low-cost brand plan

Best for: Solo founders who want logo files, editable brand guidelines, and social assets for the lowest yearly cost.

LOGO.com is a Vancouver-based logo maker that generates unlimited logo ideas from your company name and style choices. Its Brand Plan bundles the logo files with a brand board, editable brand guidelines, font files, and more than 1,200 templates in its Design Hub.

How it works in practice

You can generate and edit as many concepts as you like for free. The free tier lets you save one logo and download PNG files. The Brand Plan unlocks full commercial use, color, greyscale, and transparent logo files, font files, and brand guidelines, plus resized versions for LinkedIn, X, YouTube, and other platforms.

Font files save time during a website build. When a logo maker gives you the font name but no file or web license, the developer has to track it down. Check that your chosen font has a web version before you commit.

Main features

  • Unlimited AI logo idea generation
  • Brand board, editable brand guidelines, and font files on Brand Plan
  • Social profile and cover images for major platforms
  • Design Hub with 1,200+ templates and a logo resizer
  • Link-in-bio page and AI image credits

Pricing

The free tier lets you save 1 logo with PNG downloads. Brand Plan costs $15 a month or $60 a year for 1 seat, 5 saved logos, and full commercial use. A Business Plan adds 5 seats and 100 saved logos. LOGO.com offers a 7-day refund on your first purchase.

Pros and cons

ProsCons
  • $60 a year for files, guidelines, and fonts
  • Unlimited concept generation for free
  • Font files included on Brand Plan
  • 7-day refund on first purchase
  • Free tier is PNG only
  • Subscription model for logo files
  • Output is template-based
  • Business Plan pricing is less clearly published

6. Design.com: best large template library with an exclusive license option

Best for: Founders who want to browse a large library of professionally designed logo templates and are willing to pay extra for exclusivity.

Design.com combines a large library of logo templates made by professional designers with AI tools that adapt them to your name and industry. It also runs IP checks on its templates and offers more than 500 exclusive fonts.

How it works in practice

Design.com sells logos through subscriptions. Every package includes vector files (SVG, EPS, PDF) and raster files (PNG, JPG), unlimited edits, and access to templates and a basic website builder. Each subscription covers one logo. You keep the license and files if you cancel, so you can pay for one month and stop.

The standard license is non-exclusive, which means another company could use the same template. For a SaaS startup that plans to file a trademark, that is a real concern. Design.com sells extended licenses that remove the icon from its library. The Exclusive license gives you full rights to the design and removes it permanently.

Main features

  • Large library of designer-made logo templates
  • AI customization by name, industry, and style
  • SVG, EPS, PDF, PNG, and JPG files on all paid packages
  • Exclusive and Buyout license options
  • Templates for social, business cards, and a website builder

Pricing

Design.com lists its Starter package at typically US$25 a month and its Value and Premium packages at typically US$34 a month, with lower rates on annual plans. Free logos from its free collection can be downloaded with files, but logos made with its AI tools require a paid plan. The Exclusive license is typically $15 a month, $60 a year, or $145 one-time, and is not available for every logo.

Pros and cons

ProsCons
  • Professional template quality
  • Vector files on every paid package
  • Exclusive license removes the design from the library
  • Rights stay after you cancel
  • One logo per subscription
  • Standard license is non-exclusive
  • Prices are listed as "typically" and vary
  • AI logos are watermarked until you pay

7. LogoAI: best for logo animations and brand videos

Best for: Teams that want an animated logo for product videos, social clips, or a site intro, along with the static brand kit.

LogoAI generates logos from your name and style preferences and builds an AI brand kit around them. It has moved away from one-time packages to a single subscription that bundles a Branding Suite (logo maker, brand kit, logo animations, and brand videos) with a Design Studio that includes access to more than 20 AI image and video models.

How it works in practice

LogoAI is worth a look mainly for its animations. A short animated logo is useful for product demo videos, YouTube intros, and social posts around a launch. On a website, a Lottie or SVG animation is usually a better choice than a video file, so ask whether you can export a format your web team can use.

Main features

  • AI logo generation and brand kit
  • Logo animations and brand videos
  • Design Studio with 20+ AI image and video models
  • Batch generation
  • Commercial use on paid plans

Pricing

LogoAI offers a 7-day trial for $10 with 200 AI credits. After the trial, the plan renews at $20 a month with 500 AI credits. Paid plans include commercial use, but LogoAI states that this does not guarantee exclusivity or trademark registration. Older one-time packages are no longer sold.

Pros and cons

ProsCons
  • Logo animations and brand videos included
  • Access to many AI models in one plan
  • Low trial price
  • Commercial use on paid plans
  • Subscription only, renews automatically
  • Export formats vary by feature
  • No exclusivity on generated logos
  • More features than a logo-only buyer needs

8. Namecheap Logo Maker: best free logo maker with SVG

Best for: Side projects, internal tools, and pre-launch landing pages where the budget is zero and a simple mark is enough.

Namecheap Logo Maker is part of Namecheap's Visual suite. You pick fonts, colors, and three icons, and its AI generates combinations. Downloads are free, with no watermark, and include both PNG and SVG files. You need a free Namecheap account to download.

How it works in practice

The output is simple: an icon from a shared library next to your company name in a chosen font. For a pre-launch waitlist page or a hackathon project, that is fine. For a funded startup, the shared icons make the mark easy to copy and hard to protect, so treat it as a placeholder.

Main features

  • Free AI logo generation with no watermark
  • PNG and SVG downloads at no cost
  • Custom hex color input
  • Mockups on websites, T-shirts, and business cards
  • Links to Namecheap Site Maker and Card Maker

Pricing

Logo Maker is free, including SVG downloads. You only need a free Namecheap account.

Pros and cons

ProsCons
  • Free SVG files
  • No watermark
  • Fast and simple
  • Accepts exact hex codes
  • Shared icon library
  • No brand guidelines or kit
  • Simple layouts only
  • Not suitable for a trademark

9. Designs.ai: best for logos inside a wider AI design suite

Best for: Small marketing teams that want logo, video, social, and copy tools under one credit-based subscription.

Designs.ai is an AI design suite that includes Logomaker alongside tools for video, social graphics, voiceover, and copy. In 2026 it also added Designs Claw, an AI agent that is included on every plan. The logo maker is one part of a larger product, so you pay for tools you may not use.

How it works in practice

You generate a logo with Logomaker, then use the same brand settings in the other Designs.ai tools. For a team that would otherwise pay for separate video and social tools, that can make sense. For a founder who only needs a logo, a dedicated tool from this list will be cheaper and simpler.

Main features

  • Logomaker with brand settings shared across the suite
  • AI video, social graphics, voiceover, and copy tools
  • Designs Claw AI agent on every plan
  • Credit-based usage
  • Indemnity on Plus and higher plans

Pricing

Designs.ai lists four paid plans. Go costs $9.90 a month or $99 a year with 500 credits and 1 user. Plus costs $39 a month or $299 a year with 2,500 credits and 2 users. Pro costs $79 a month or $699 a year with 10,000 credits and 5 users. Enterprise costs $639 a month. Plus and Pro include $5,000 of indemnity and Enterprise includes $25,000. Designs.ai changed its plans during 2026, so check how many credits a logo export uses and which file formats each plan includes before you buy.

Pros and cons

ProsCons
  • Logo, video, and social tools in one plan
  • Low entry price
  • Indemnity on Plus and Pro
  • Team seats on higher plans
  • Logo maker is not the main product
  • Credit costs per export are not clear upfront
  • Plans changed in 2026
  • More than a logo-only buyer needs

10. ChatGPT, Midjourney, and Ideogram: good for concepts, not final files

Best for: Exploring directions and building a mood board before you commit to a logo maker or a designer.

Many founders start with a general image model, and the logo-like images these models produce have improved a lot. ChatGPT's image generation handles text and transparent backgrounds much better than it did two years ago. Ideogram is known for accurate text in images. Midjourney produces the most striking concepts of the three.

How it works in practice

All three output raster images (PNG, JPG, or WebP), not vectors. To use one as a logo, someone has to trace it into a clean SVG, fix the type, and build the variations a website needs. Auto-tracing tools help, but the result usually needs manual cleanup.

Licensing also needs care. Midjourney requires a Pro or Mega plan for companies with more than $1 million in yearly gross revenue, and images made on its lower plans are visible in its public gallery. Ideogram's free images are public, while Plus and higher keep new images private. OpenAI's terms assign output to the user. In the US, the Copyright Office's position is that purely AI-generated material is not protected by copyright, so a logo created entirely by a prompt may be hard to protect. Trademark protection is a separate question that depends on use and on clearance against existing marks.

Main features

  • Fast concept exploration from text prompts
  • Strong text rendering on Ideogram and recent ChatGPT models
  • Transparent PNG output on ChatGPT
  • Style references and variations

Pricing

ChatGPT image generation is included in paid ChatGPT plans, with Plus at about $20 a month. Ideogram Plus costs $20 a month, or $15 a month billed yearly, and Pro costs $60 a month. Midjourney's plans start at about $10 a month, and the Pro and Mega plans are required for larger companies. Check each vendor's terms for commercial use before you put an image on your website.

Pros and cons

ProsCons
  • Fast concept exploration
  • Wide range of styles
  • Good text rendering on newer models
  • Often already in your tool stack
  • Raster output only
  • No brand kit or variations
  • Public galleries on free or lower plans
  • Weak copyright position for pure AI output

Tools we left out

Shopify's Hatchful no longer exists as a standalone tool. Its URLs now redirect to the Shopify Logo Maker, which is free but exports PNG files only and is built around Shopify store signup. Tailor Brands still has a logo maker, but its pricing now centers on LLC formation plans, which makes it a poor fit for a SaaS team that only needs brand files. Wix Logo Maker and Adobe Express are reasonable if you already use those platforms, but we did not test them closely enough to rank them here.

How to choose an AI logo maker for a SaaS startup

Start with what your web team will need. A SaaS marketing site uses the logo in the header, footer, favicon, social cards, product UI, and docs. That means you need at minimum:

  1. An SVG of the full logo and the symbol on its own
  2. White and black versions for dark and light backgrounds
  3. Exact hex codes for primary, secondary, and neutral colors
  4. The font names and web font files, with a license that covers web use
  5. A square version for the favicon and social avatars

Looka, Brandmark, and LOGO.com cover most of this list out of the box. Recraft gives you a better symbol but leaves the rest to you or a designer. Canva is the best place to store and use the kit once you have it.

Then think about exclusivity. Template-based makers reuse icons across many customers. That is fine for a pre-seed startup, but if you plan to file a trademark or raise a round on a strong brand, choose a tool that generates original artwork, buy an exclusive license, or hire a designer to refine the AI concept. Run a trademark search before you print anything.

Finally, look at the payment model. Brandmark and Looka's logo packages are one-time payments. LOGO.com, Design.com, LogoAI, Designs.ai, Canva, and Recraft are subscriptions. Most of them let you keep your files and rights after you cancel, but put a calendar reminder on the renewal date if you only need the files once.

If you are planning a new site or a redesign, our guides to Webflow alternatives, the best CMS for Astro, and the best CMS for Next.js cover the next decisions.

Getting help turning a logo into a website

StaticMania is a web studio that builds marketing sites for SaaS companies on Next.js, Astro, Hugo, and headless CMS platforms. When a client arrives with an AI-generated logo, we turn the files into a design system for the site, set up color and type tokens, build favicons and social cards, and flag any file or license gaps before launch. If you are planning a site, you can see our services or get in touch.

Frequently asked questions about AI logo makers

For most SaaS startups, Looka is our first pick because it gives you clean vector files, white and black versions, and brand guidelines with colors and fonts, for $65 one-time or $96 a year with the full Brand Kit. Brandmark is the best one-time value at $35 to $95. Recraft is the best choice if you want an original mark generated as a real SVG.

Usually yes, on a paid plan. Looka, Brandmark, LOGO.com, Design.com, LogoAI, and Recraft's paid plans all grant commercial use. Free plans often do not: Recraft's free output is non-commercial, and Midjourney requires higher plans for larger companies. Read the license for your specific plan before you launch.

Trademark protection depends on using the logo in commerce and on it not conflicting with existing marks. Logos built from shared template icons can be hard to register and easy for others to copy. Copyright is a separate issue: in the US, purely AI-generated artwork is not protected by copyright, though human edits and arrangement can be. If the brand matters to your business, have a designer refine the mark and talk to a trademark attorney.

Looka (Premium and up), Brandmark (all tiers), Recraft (native vector models), Canva (Pro), LOGO.com (Brand Plan), Design.com (all paid packages), and Namecheap Logo Maker (free) all export SVG. ChatGPT, Midjourney, and Ideogram output raster images only, so they need to be traced before use as a logo.

An AI logo maker is a good choice before product-market fit, when speed and budget matter more than a distinctive brand. Once you are raising a larger round, entering a crowded category, or planning a full redesign, a designer or brand studio can give you an original mark and a full identity system that is easier to protect. Many teams use an AI tool first and hire a designer to refine the direction later.

Editorial note

This is an independent review by the StaticMania team. Rankings reflect our view of each tool for B2B SaaS startups preparing a marketing site, based on product pages, public pricing, license terms, and the files clients bring to our projects. Prices are listed as each vendor published them in November 2026, in US dollars, and can change. Always check the vendor's pricing and license pages before you buy.
